Sammy Trayer is enthusiastic about helping her clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves, others, and the world around them. Her aim is to help clients fulfill their therapeutic goals by strengthening their emotional well-being, improving their interpersonal relationships, while helping them to become more mindful in their life. Sammy’s style is warm and inviting but she is direct and informative while working cohesively with her clients to identify what factors within their environment affect the issues within.
Sammy received her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University and is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and the Connecticut Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT). Coming from a youth bureau setting, Sammy has worked with a variety of issues ranging from child behavior problems, school related problems, divorce and remarriage related issues, disagreements about parenting styles, single parent stressors, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. No issue is too small or large. She focuses on supporting families and individuals while assisting them in transitioning through life changes and obstacles.
Sammy is at FCFT Monday- Thursdays with extended evenings on Tuesdays.
